SAND RIDING TRAINING

LEVEL 1 ADVENTURE RIDING COURSE
The Introduction to Adventure Riding Course is a theory and riding course aimed at the rider new to off-road motorcycling. The course covers the principle theories of off-road riding; and basic skills riding exercises such as body position, vision, balance, use of controls and emergency braking. One day course.
LEVEL 2 ADVENTURE RIDING COURSE
Intermediate Adventure Riding Course caters for riders that have completed the Level 1 Introduction Course. Re-capping exercises presented on the Introduction Course in more difficult terrain. In addition long climbs & descents, ruts, jumping an obstacle and introduction to sand riding are some of the exercises that make up this level 2 course. One day course offered in Sabie.
LEVEL 3 ADVENTURE RIDING COURSE
The Advanced Adventure Riding Course is aimed at the rider that has completed the Level 1 & 2 Courses and has mastered off-road riding; and wants to further his riding skills to an advanced level. Skills taught include brake and power drift, advance sand riding, riding across a slope and motorcycle recovery on steep climbs and descents. Weekend course offered in Sabie.
LEVEL 4 SAND RIDING COURSE
The Expert Adventure Riding Experience SAND Experience – long weekend away in Mozambique. Participants get comprehensive training in sand riding and the opportunity to hone their sand riding skills with a qualified instructor on hand.

LEVEL 1 & 2 PILLION RIDING COURSE
Is a theory and riding course aimed at the rider and pillion wanting to increase their skills and enjoyment for off-road riding. The course covers the principle theories of on-road and / or off-road riding and what is expected from the rider and pillion; it also covers basic skills riding exercises such as body position, vision, balance, use of controls and emergency braking. One day course offered in Sabie.
DEFENSIVE ROAD RIDING COURSE
Aimed at the rider who wants to improve safety & skills for riding on public roads. Beginner, lady & experienced riders are all welcome on any type of road legal motorcycle (you do not need to ride a BMW). Lessons covered include slow speed balance, U-turns, swerve & braking, throttle control, vision, road placement & emergency braking. One day course offered in Sabie.

Our guided tours vary from 1 day to 30 days throughout Southern Africa and are fully supported by an experienced back-up crew. For your self-guide tour we can assist with recommended & GPS routes, things to see along your route & perfect places to stay throughout Southern Africa.

RENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- All of the motorcycles are the latest models less than 2 years old.
- Valid motorcycle license (In English | International where applicable).
- Identification required (SA ID Document / Passport).
- Over 25 Years.
- A rental agreement & indemnity to be signed.
- A 10% deposit is required to confirm your place on tour and the balance of your payment is due 60 days before departure. You can either pay by bank transfer or using a secure credit card link.
The motorcycles are covered by full comprehensive insurance which covers you for theft, damage to the motorcycle and public liability. However the excess of this insurance is R25,000.00. Should you damage the motorcycle in any way- you will be liable up to R25,000.00. The excess for the motorcycle insurance is normally taken in the form of a credit card hold (You will be emailed a link to secure this deposit. We recommend completing this link while still in your home country where you have full access to your bank notification), which is reversed upon safe return of the motorcycle. If you damage something small like a light indicator we only charge you for the damaged part and not the entire deposit.

Thomas Böhm is Internationally Accredited by the BMW Motorrad International Instructors Academy – IIA. The only person in South Africa that has both the On-Road and Off-Road Certification. Certified BMW Motorrad Instructors are not only highly skilled and experienced motorcycle riders, they are also intensively trained in teaching, aimed at individuality. They have the eye to see your specific needs and the skills to train at your level. Certified BMW Motorrad Instructors are trained in BMW Motorrad brand behaviour, technical tasks and First Aid. Their focus is on you and your learning experience. Your development, safety and riding pleasure are the goals – worldwide, you are in best hands!
